CVE-2023-0179 | 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 15 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 12 more | 2025-02-19 | 7.8 High |
A buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the Netfilter subsystem in the Linux Kernel. This issue could allow the leakage of both stack and heap addresses, and potentially allow Local Privilege Escalation to the root user via arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2019-13272 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 25 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 22 more | 2025-02-04 | 7.8 High |
In the Linux kernel before 5.1.17, ptrace_link in kernel/ptrace.c mishandles the recording of the credentials of a process that wants to create a ptrace relationship, which allows local users to obtain root access by leveraging certain scenarios with a parent-child process relationship, where a parent drops privileges and calls execve (potentially allowing control by an attacker). One contributing factor is an object lifetime issue (which can also cause a panic). Another contributing factor is incorrect marking of a ptrace relationship as privileged, which is exploitable through (for example) Polkit's pkexec helper with PTRACE_TRACEME. NOTE: SELinux deny_ptrace might be a usable workaround in some environments.
CVE-2022-0847 | 7 Fedoraproject, Linux, Netapp and 4 more | 42 Fedora, Linux Kernel, H300e and 39 more | 2025-02-04 | 7.8 High |
A flaw was found in the way the "flags" member of the new pipe buffer structure was lacking proper initialization in copy_page_to_iter_pipe and push_pipe functions in the Linux kernel and could thus contain stale values. An unprivileged local user could use this flaw to write to pages in the page cache backed by read only files and as such escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2017-18017 | 9 Arista, Canonical, Debian and 6 more | 33 Eos, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 30 more | 2025-01-03 | 9.8 Critical |
The tcpmss_mangle_packet function in net/netfilter/xt_TCPMSS.c in the Linux kernel before 4.11, and 4.9.x before 4.9.36, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (use-after-free and memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact by leveraging the presence of xt_TCPMSS in an iptables action.
CVE-2023-4147 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 9 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 6 more | 2025-01-03 | 7.8 High |
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Netfilter functionality when adding a rule with NFTA_RULE_CHAIN_ID. This flaw allows a local user to crash or escalate their privileges on the system.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NVMe driver. This issue may allow an unauthenticated malicious actor to send a set of crafted TCP packages when using NVMe over TCP, leading the NVMe driver to a NULL pointer dereference in the NVMe driver, causing kernel panic and a denial of service.
CVE-2023-6535 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 19 Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder Eus, Codeready Linux Builder Eus For Power Little Endian Eus and 16 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
CVE-2023-6356 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 20 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 17 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NVMe driver. This issue may allow an unauthenticated malicious actor to send a set of crafted TCP packages when using NVMe over TCP, leading the NVMe driver to a NULL pointer dereference in the NVMe driver and causing kernel panic and a denial of service.
CVE-2023-5633 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 23 Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 20 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
The reference count changes made as part of the CVE-2023-33951 and CVE-2023-33952 fixes exposed a use-after-free flaw in the way memory objects were handled when they were being used to store a surface. When running inside a VMware guest with 3D acceleration enabled, a local, unprivileged user could potentially use this flaw to escalate their privileges.
CVE-2023-4732 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 12 Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder, Codeready Linux Builder For Arm64 and 9 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.7 Medium |
A flaw was found in pfn_swap_entry_to_page in memory management subsystem in the Linux Kernel. In this flaw, an attacker with a local user privilege may cause a denial of service problem due to a BUG statement referencing pmd_t x.
CVE-2023-4132 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.5 Medium |
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the siano smsusb module in the Linux kernel. The bug occurs during device initialization when the siano device is plugged in. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system, causing a denial of service condition.
CVE-2023-3772 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s IP framework for transforming packets (XFRM subsystem). This issue may allow a malicious user with CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges to directly dereference a NULL pointer in xfrm_update_ae_params(), leading to a possible kernel crash and denial of service.
CVE-2023-33952 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux For Real Time and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.7 Medium |
A double-free vulnerability was found in handling vmw_buffer_object objects in the vmwgfx driver in the Linux kernel. This issue occurs due to the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing further free operations on the object, which may allow a local privileged user to escalate privileges and execute code in the context of the kernel.
CVE-2023-33951 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux For Real Time and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.7 Medium |
A race condition vulnerability was found in the vmwgfx driver in the Linux kernel. The flaw exists within the handling of GEM objects. The issue results from improper locking when performing operations on an object. This flaw allows a local privileged user to disclose information in the context of the kernel.
CVE-2022-1011 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 3 more | 39 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 36 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
