A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in dbFree in fs/jfs/jfs_dmap.c in the journaling file system (JFS) in the Linux Kernel. This issue may allow a local attacker to crash the system due to a missing sanity check.
CVE-2023-29569 | 1 Cesanta | 1 Mjs | 2025-02-06 | 5.5 Medium |
Cesanta MJS v2.20.0 was discovered to contain a SEGV vulnerability via ffi_cb_impl_wpwwwww at src/mjs_ffi.c. This vulnerability can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS).
CVE-2024-30403 | 1 Juniper | 1 Junos Os Evolved | 2025-02-06 | 6.5 Medium |
A NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS). When Layer 2 traffic is sent through a logical interface, MAC learning happens. If during this process, the interface flaps, an Advanced Forwarding Toolkit manager (evo-aftmand-bt) core is observed. This leads to a PFE restart. The crash reoccurs if the same sequence of events happens, which will lead to a sustained DoS condition. This issue affects Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved 23.2-EVO versions earlier than 23.2R1-S1-EVO, 23.2R2-EVO.
CVE-2023-21586 | 3 Adobe, Apple, Microsoft | 6 Acrobat, Acrobat Dc, Acrobat Reader and 3 more | 2025-02-06 | 5.5 Medium |
Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 22.003.20282 (and earlier), 22.003.20281 (and earlier) and 20.005.30418 (and earlier) are affected by a NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker could leverage this vulnerability to achieve an application denial-of-service in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2020-28163 | 1 Libdwarf Project | 1 Libdwarf | 2025-02-06 | 6.5 Medium |
libdwarf before 20201201 allows a dwarf_print_lines.c NULL pointer dereference and application crash via a DWARF5 line-table header that has an invalid FORM for a pathname.
CVE-2024-26130 | 2 Cryptography.io, Redhat | 5 Cryptography, Ansible Automation Platform, Rhui and 2 more | 2025-02-05 | 7.5 High |
cryptography is a package designed to expose cryptographic primitives and recipes to Python developers. Starting in version 38.0.0 and prior to version 42.0.4, if `pkcs12.serialize_key_and_certificates` is called with both a certificate whose public key did not match the provided private key and an `encryption_algorithm` with `hmac_hash` set (via `PrivateFormat.PKCS12.encryption_builder().hmac_hash(...)`, then a NULL pointer dereference would occur, crashing the Python process. This has been resolved in version 42.0.4, the first version in which a `ValueError` is properly raised.
CVE-2022-27497 | 1 Intel | 1 Active Management Technology Firmware | 2025-02-05 | 8.6 High |
Null pointer dereference in firmware for Intel(R) AMT before version 11.8.93, 11.22.93, 11.12.93, 12.0.92, 14.1.67, 15.0.42, 16.1.25 may allow an unauthenticated user to potentially enable denial of service via network access.
CVE-2024-26942 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-02-05 | 5.5 Medium |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: phy: qcom: at803x: fix kernel panic with at8031_probe On reworking and splitting the at803x driver, in splitting function of at803x PHYs it was added a NULL dereference bug where priv is referenced before it's actually allocated and then is tried to write to for the is_1000basex and is_fiber variables in the case of at8031, writing on the wrong address. Fix this by correctly setting priv local variable only after at803x_probe is called and actually allocates priv in the phydev struct.
CVE-2024-26984 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2025-02-05 | 5.5 Medium |

Every so often pt->memory->ptrs is NULL. This ptrs ptr is set in the nv50_instobj_acquire called from nvkm_kmap. If Thread A and Thread B both get to nv50_instobj_acquire around the same time, and Thread A hits the refcount_set line, and in lockstep thread B succeeds at refcount_inc_not_zero, there is a chance the ptrs value won't have been stored since refcount_set is unordered. Force a memory barrier here, I picked smp_mb, since we want it on all CPUs and it's write followed by a read. v2: use paired smp_rmb/smp_wmb.

An issue was discovered in drivers/media/test-drivers/vidtv/vidtv_bridge.c in the Linux kernel 6.2. There is a NULL pointer dereference in vidtv_mux_stop_thread. In vidtv_stop_streaming, after dvb->mux=NULL occurs, it executes vidtv_mux_stop_thread(dvb->mux).
CVE-2023-24818 | 1 Riot-os | 1 Riot | 2025-02-04 | 7.5 High |
RIOT-OS, an operating system that supports Internet of Things devices, contains a network stack with the ability to process 6LoWPAN frames. Prior to version 2022.10, an attacker can send a crafted frame to the device resulting in a NULL pointer dereference. During forwarding of a fragment an uninitialized entry in the reassembly buffer is used. The NULL pointer dereference triggers a hard fault exception resulting in denial of service. Version 2022.10 fixes this issue. As a workaround, disable support for fragmented IP datagrams or apply the patches manually.
CVE-2023-25510 | 3 Linux, Microsoft, Nvidia | 3 Linux Kernel, Windows, Cuda Toolkit | 2025-02-04 | 3.3 Low |
NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit SDK for Linux and Windows contains a NULL pointer dereference in cuobjdump, where a local user running the tool against a malformed binary may cause a limited denial of service.
CVE-2023-24822 | 1 Riot-os | 1 Riot | 2025-02-04 | 7.5 High |
RIOT-OS, an operating system that supports Internet of Things devices, contains a network stack with the ability to process 6LoWPAN frames. Prior to version 2022.10, an attacker can send a crafted frame to the device resulting in a NULL pointer dereference while encoding a 6LoWPAN IPHC header. The NULL pointer dereference causes a hard fault exception, leading to denial of service. Version 2022.10 fixes this issue. As a workaround, apply the patches manually.
CVE-2025-21669 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-02-04 | 5.5 Medium |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: discard packets if the transport changes If the socket has been de-assigned or assigned to another transport, we must discard any packets received because they are not expected and would cause issues when we access vsk->transport. A possible scenario is described by Hyunwoo Kim in the attached link, where after a first connect() interrupted by a signal, and a second connect() failed, we can find `vsk->transport` at NULL, leading to a NULL pointer dereference. |
