CVSS v3.1 |
CWE-476 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in the evalExpr() function of GoAhead Web Server (version <= 6.0.0) when compiled with the ME_GOAHEAD_JAVASCRIPT flag. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker with the privileges to modify JavaScript template (JST) files to trigger a crash and cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by providing malicious templates.
Multiple CWE-476 NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerabilities were found in GoAhead Web Server up to version 6.0.0 when compiled with the ME_GOAHEAD_REPLACE_MALLOC flag. Without a memory notifier for allocation failures, remote attackers can exploit these vulnerabilities by sending malicious requests, leading to a crash and Denial of Service (DoS).
ws is an open source WebSocket client and server for Node.js. A request with a number of headers exceeding theserver.maxHeadersCount threshold could be used to crash a ws server. The vulnerability was fixed in [email protected] (e55e510) and backported to [email protected] (22c2876), [email protected] (eeb76d3), and [email protected] (4abd8f6). In vulnerable versions of ws, the issue can be mitigated in the following ways: 1. Reduce the maximum allowed length of the request headers using the --max-http-header-size=size and/or the maxHeaderSize options so that no more headers than the server.maxHeadersCount limit can be sent. 2. Set server.maxHeadersCount to 0 so that no limit is applied.
In Alinto SOPE SOGo 2.0.2 through 5.12.2, sope-core/NGExtensions/NGHashMap.m allows a NULL pointer dereference and SOGo crash via a request in which a parameter in the query string is a duplicate of a parameter in the POST body.
Volto is a ReactJS-based frontend for the Plone Content Management System. Versions 16.34.0 and below, 17.0.0 through 17.22.1, 18.0.0 through 18.27.1, and 19.0.0-alpha.1 through 19.0.0-alpha.5, an anonymous user could cause the NodeJS server part of Volto to quit with an error when visiting a specific URL. This issue is fixed in versions 16.34.1, 17.22.2, 18.27.2 and 19.0.0-alpha.6.
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in MSI Dragon Center up to 2.0.146.0. This affects the function MmUnMapIoSpace in the library NTIOLib_X64.sys of the component IOCTL Handler. The manipulation leads to null pointer dereference. It is possible to launch the attack on the local host. Upgrading to version 2.0.148.0 is able to address this issue. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component.
A flaw was found in the 389-ds-base LDAP Server. This issue occurs when issuing a Modify DN LDAP operation through the ldap protocol, when the function return value is not tested and a NULL pointer is dereferenced. If a privileged user performs a ldap MODDN operation after a failed operation, it could lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) or system crash.
SoftEtherVPN is a an open-source cross-platform multi-protocol VPN Program. Versions 5.02.5184 to 5.02.5187 are vulnerable to NULL dereference in `DeleteIPv6DefaultRouterInRA` called by `StorePacket`. Before dereferencing, `DeleteIPv6DefaultRouterInRA` does not account for `ParsePacket` returning NULL, resulting in the program crashing. A patched version does not exist at this time.
NVIDIA Display Driver for Linux contains a vulnerability in a kernel module, where an attacker might be able to trigger a null pointer deference. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service.
A vulnerability was found in RefindPlusRepo RefindPlus 0.14.2.AB and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function GetDebugLogFile of the file Library/MemLogLib/BootLog.c. The manipulation leads to null pointer dereference. Attacking locally is a requirement. The patch is identified as d2143a1e2deefddd9b105fb7160763c4f8d47ea2. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue.
A security flaw has been discovered in nicbarker clay up to 0.14. This affects the function Clay__MeasureTextCached in the library clay.h. The manipulation results in null pointer dereference. The attack is only possible with local access. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: core: prevent NULL deref in generic_hwtstamp_ioctl_lower()
The ethtool tsconfig Netlink path can trigger a null pointer
dereference. A call chain such as:
tsconfig_prepare_data() ->
dev_get_hwtstamp_phylib() ->
vlan_hwtstamp_get() ->
generic_hwtstamp_get_lower() ->
generic_hwtstamp_ioctl_lower()
results in generic_hwtstamp_ioctl_lower() being called with
kernel_cfg->ifr as NULL.
The generic_hwtstamp_ioctl_lower() function does not expect
a NULL ifr and dereferences it, leading to a system crash.
Fix this by adding a NULL check for kernel_cfg->ifr in
generic_hwtstamp_ioctl_lower(). If ifr is NULL, return -EINVAL. |
Multiple versions of Central Monitor CNS-6201 contain a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability. When processing a crafted certain UDP packet, the affected device may abnormally terminate.
An unauthenticated attacker can perform a null pointer dereference in the DHIP Service (UDP port 37810). This vulnerability has been resolved in firmware version 2.800.0000000.8.R.20241111.
Tex Live 944e257 has a NULL pointer dereference in texk/web2c/pdftexdir/writet1.c. NOTE: this is disputed because it should be categorized as a usability problem.
A NULL Pointer Dereference discovered in DumpTS v0.1.0-nightly allows attackers to cause a denial of service via the function DumpOneStream() at /src/DumpStream.cpp.
An unauthenticated remote attacker may trigger a NULL pointer dereference in the affected CODESYS Control runtime systems by sending specially crafted communication requests, potentially leading to a denial-of-service (DoS) condition.
A flaw was found in libsoup, where soup_auth_digest_authenticate() is vulnerable to a NULL pointer dereference. This issue may cause the libsoup client to crash.
A potential null pointer dereference vulnerability was reported in the Lenovo Power Management Driver that could allow a local authenticated user to cause a Windows blue screen error.
Joda Time v2.12.5 was discovered to contain a NullPointerException via the component org.joda.time.format.PeriodFormat::wordBased(Locale). NOTE: this is disputed by multiple third parties who believe there was not reasonable evidence to determine the existence of a vulnerability. The submission may have been based on a tool that is not sufficiently robust for vulnerability identification.
