CVSS v3.1 |
| Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Tomcat.
Tomcat did not limit HTTP/0.9 requests to the GET method. If a security
constraint was configured to allow HEAD requests to a URI but deny GET
requests, the user could bypass that constraint on GET requests by
sending a (specification invalid) HEAD request using HTTP/0.9.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.14, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.49, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.112.
Older, EOL versions are also affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.15 or later, 10.1.50 or later or 9.0.113 or later, which fixes the issue. |
| Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Tomcat Native, Apache Tomcat.
When using an OCSP responder, Tomcat Native (and Tomcat's FFM port of the Tomcat Native code) did not complete verification or freshness checks on the OCSP response which could allow certificate revocation to be bypassed.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat Native: from 1.3.0 through 1.3.4, from 2.0.0 through 2.0.11; Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.17, from 10.1.0-M7 through 10.1.51, from 9.0.83 through 9.0.114.
The following versions were EOL at the time the CVE was created but are
known to be affected: from 1.1.23 through 1.1.34, from 1.2.0 through 1.2.39. Older EOL versions are not affected.
Apache Tomcat Native users are recommended to upgrade to versions 1.3.5 or later or 2.0.12 or later, which fix the issue.
Apache Tomcat users are recommended to upgrade to versions 11.0.18 or later, 10.1.52 or later or 9.0.115 or later which fix the issue. |
| A flaw was found in mod_proxy_cluster. This vulnerability, a Carriage Return Line Feed (CRLF) injection in the decodeenc() function, allows a remote attacker to bypass input validation. By injecting CRLF sequences into the cluster configuration, an attacker can corrupt the response body of INFO endpoint responses. Exploitation requires network access to the MCMP protocol port, but no authentication is needed. |
| A cross-site scripting vulnerability in Apache Tomcat 3.2.1 allows a malicious webmaster to embed Javascript in a request for a .JSP file, which causes the Javascript to be inserted into an error message. |
| The mod_ssl module in Apache 2.0.35 through 2.0.52, when using the "SSLCipherSuite" directive in directory or location context, allows remote clients to bypass intended restrictions by using any cipher suite that is allowed by the virtual host configuration. |
| mod_ssl in Apache 2.0 up to 2.0.55, when configured with an SSL vhost with access control and a custom error 400 error page, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a non-SSL request to an SSL port, which triggers a NULL pointer dereference. |
| The default installation of Apache Tomcat 4.0 through 4.1 and 3.0 through 3.3.1 allows remote attackers to obtain the installation path and other sensitive system information via the (1) SnoopServlet or (2) TroubleShooter example servlets. |
| mod_digest_apple for Apache 1.3.31 and 1.3.32 on Mac OS X Server does not properly verify the nonce of a client response, which allows remote attackers to replay credentials. |
| PHP 3.x (PHP3) on Apache 1.3.6 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a modified .. (dot dot) attack containing "%5c" (encoded backslash) sequences. |
| Apache HTTP Server 2.0.47 and earlier allows local users to bypass .htaccess file restrictions, as specified in httpd.conf with directives such as Deny From All, by using an ErrorDocument directive. NOTE: the vendor has disputed this issue, since the .htaccess mechanism is only intended to restrict external web access, and a local user already has the privileges to perform the same operations without using ErrorDocument |
| Multiple buffer overflows in smbvalid/smbval SMB authentication library, as used in Apache::AuthenSmb and possibly other modules, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via (1) a long username, (2) a long password, and (3) other unspecified methods. |
| The Apache 1.3.x HTTP server for Windows platforms allows remote attackers to list directory contents by requesting a URL containing a large number of / characters. |
| Buffer overflow in Apache 1.2.5 and earlier allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service with a large number of GET requests containing a large number of / characters. |
| The mod_dav module in Apache 2.0.50 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (child process crash) via a certain sequence of LOCK requests for a location that allows WebDAV authoring access. |
| Unknown vulnerability in Apache 1.3.19 running on HP Secure OS for Linux 1.0 allows remote attackers to cause "unexpected results" via an HTTP request. |
| Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Apache Tomcat 4.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web script and steal cookies via a URL with encoded newlines followed by a request to a .jsp file whose name contains the script. |
| Cross-site scripting vulnerability in Apache Tomcat 4.0.3 allows remote attackers to execute script as other web users via script in a URL with the /servlet/ mapping, which does not filter the script when an exception is thrown by the servlet. |
| Apache Software Foundation Tomcat Servlet prior to 3.2.2 allows a remote attacker to read the source code to arbitrary 'jsp' files via a malformed URL request which does not end with an HTTP protocol specification (i.e. HTTP/1.0). |
| Apache Tomcat 4.0.1 allows remote attackers to obtain the web root path via HTTP requests for JSP files preceded by (1) +/, (2) >/, (3) </, and (4) %20/, which leaks the pathname in an error message. |
| Unknown vulnerability in Tomcat 3.2.1 running on HP Secure OS for Linux 1.0 allows attackers to access servlet resources. NOTE: due to the vagueness of the vendor advisory, it is not clear whether this issue is already covered by other CVE identifiers. |
