CVE-2009-0663 3 Cmu, Perl, Redhat 3 Dbd\, Perl, Enterprise Linux 2025-04-09 N/A
Heap-based buffer overflow in the DBD::Pg (aka DBD-Pg or libdbd-pg-perl) module 1.49 for Perl might allow context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via unspecified input to an application that uses the getline and pg_getline functions to read database rows.
CVE-2008-5302 2 Perl, Redhat 3 File\, Perl, Enterprise Linux 2025-04-09 N/A
Race condition in the rmtree function in File::Path 1.08 and 2.07 (lib/File/Path.pm) in Perl 5.8.8 and 5.10.0 allows local users to create arbitrary setuid binaries via a symlink attack, a different vulnerability than CVE-2005-0448, CVE-2004-0452, and CVE-2008-2827. NOTE: this is a regression error related to CVE-2005-0448. It is different from CVE-2008-5303 due to affected versions.
CVE-2008-2827 1 Perl 1 Perl 2025-04-09 N/A
The rmtree function in lib/File/Path.pm in Perl 5.10 does not properly check permissions before performing a chmod, which allows local users to modify the permissions of arbitrary files via a symlink attack, a different vulnerability than CVE-2005-0448 and CVE-2004-0452.
CVE-2008-1927 2 Perl, Redhat 4 Perl, Certificate System, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2025-04-09 N/A
Double free vulnerability in Perl 5.8.8 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and crash) via a crafted regular expression containing UTF8 characters. NOTE: this issue might only be present on certain operating systems.
CVE-2009-3626 1 Perl 1 Perl 2025-04-09 N/A
Perl 5.10.1 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a UTF-8 character with a large, invalid codepoint, which is not properly handled during a regular-expression match.
CVE-1999-1386 1 Perl 1 Perl 2025-04-03 5.5 Medium
Perl 5.004_04 and earlier follows symbolic links when running with the -e option, which allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on the /tmp/perl-eaXXXXX file.
CVE-2005-3962 2 Perl, Redhat 2 Perl, Enterprise Linux 2025-04-03 N/A
Integer overflow in the format string functionality (Perl_sv_vcatpvfn) in Perl 5.9.2 and 5.8.6 Perl allows attackers to overwrite arbitrary memory and possibly execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers with large values, which causes an integer wrap and leads to a buffer overflow, as demonstrated using format string vulnerabilities in Perl applications.
CVE-2023-47038 3 Fedoraproject, Perl, Redhat 5 Fedora, Perl, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2025-03-27 7 High
A vulnerability was found in perl 5.30.0 through 5.38.0. This issue occurs when a crafted regular expression is compiled by perl, which can allow an attacker controlled byte buffer overflow in a heap allocated buffer.
CVE-2023-47039 3 Microsoft, Perl, Redhat 3 Windows, Perl, Enterprise Linux 2025-02-07 7.8 High
A vulnerability was found in Perl. This security issue occurs while Perl for Windows relies on the system path environment variable to find the shell (`cmd.exe`). When running an executable that uses the Windows Perl interpreter, Perl attempts to find and execute `cmd.exe` within the operating system. However, due to path search order issues, Perl initially looks for cmd.exe in the current working directory. This flaw allows an attacker with limited privileges to place`cmd.exe` in locations with weak permissions, such as `C:\ProgramData`. By doing so, arbitrary code can be executed when an administrator attempts to use this executable from these compromised locations.
CVE-2023-31486 3 Http\, Perl, Redhat 4 \, Perl, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2025-01-30 8.1 High
HTTP::Tiny before 0.083, a Perl core module since 5.13.9 and available standalone on CPAN, has an insecure default TLS configuration where users must opt in to verify certificates.
CVE-2023-47100 1 Perl 1 Perl 2024-11-21 9.8 Critical
In Perl before 5.38.2, S_parse_uniprop_string in regcomp.c can write to unallocated space because a property name associated with a \p{...} regular expression construct is mishandled. The earliest affected version is 5.30.0.
CVE-2023-31484 3 Cpanpm Project, Perl, Redhat 3 Cpanpm, Perl, Enterprise Linux 2024-11-21 8.1 High
CPAN.pm before 2.35 does not verify TLS certificates when downloading distributions over HTTPS.
CVE-2022-48522 1 Perl 1 Perl 2024-11-21 9.8 Critical
In Perl 5.34.0, function S_find_uninit_var in sv.c has a stack-based crash that can lead to remote code execution or local privilege escalation.
CVE-2021-36770 3 Fedoraproject, P5-encode Project, Perl 3 Fedora, P5-encode, Perl 2024-11-21 7.8 High
Encode.pm, as distributed in Perl through 5.34.0, allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse Encode::ConfigLocal library (in the current working directory) that preempts dynamic module loading. Exploitation requires an unusual configuration, and certain 2021 versions of Encode.pm (3.05 through 3.11). This issue occurs because the || operator evaluates @INC in a scalar context, and thus @INC has only an integer value.
CVE-2020-12723 6 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Opensuse and 3 more 21 Fedora, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Snap Creator Framework and 18 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
regcomp.c in Perl before 5.30.3 allows a buffer overflow via a crafted regular expression because of recursive S_study_chunk calls.
