CVSS v3.1 |
An elevation of privilege vulnerability in the MediaTek driver could enable a local malicious application to execute arbitrary code within the context of the kernel. This issue is rated as High because it first requires compromising a privileged process. Product: Android. Versions: N/A. Android ID: A-31350755. References: MT-ALPS02961424.
An error was found in the permission model used by X-Pack Alerting 5.0.0 to 5.6.0 whereby users mapped to certain built-in roles could create a watch that results in that user gaining elevated privileges.
A vulnerability in Cisco NX-OS System Software running on Cisco MDS Multilayer Director Switches, Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Switches, and Cisco Nexus 7700 Series Switches could allow an authenticated, local attacker to access the Bash shell of an affected device's operating system, even if the Bash shell is disabled on the system. The vulnerability is due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied parameters that are passed to certain functions of the Python scripting sandbox of the affected system. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to escape the scripting sandbox and enter the Bash shell of the operating system with the privileges of the authenticated user for the affected system. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have local access to the affected system and be authenticated to the affected system with administrative or Python execution privileges. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvd86513.
Unauthorized execution of binary vulnerability in McAfee (now Intel Security) McAfee Application Control (MAC) 6.0.0 before hotfix 9726, 6.0.1 before hotfix 9068, 6.1.0 before hotfix 692, 6.1.1 before hotfix 399, 6.1.2 before hotfix 426, and 6.1.3 before hotfix 357 and earlier allows attackers to create a malformed Windows binary that is considered non-executable and is not protected through the whitelisting protection feature via a specific set of circumstances.
An error was found in the X-Pack Security 5.3.0 to 5.5.2 privilege enforcement. If a user has either 'delete' or 'index' permissions on an index in a cluster, they may be able to issue both delete and index requests against that index.
Elastic X-Pack Security versions 5.0.0 to 5.4.0 contain a privilege escalation bug in the run_as functionality. This bug prevents transitioning into the specified user specified in a run_as request. If a role has been created using a template that contains the _user properties, the behavior of run_as will be incorrect. Additionally if the run_as user specified does not exist, the transition will not happen.
Samsung SM-G920F build G920FXXU2COH2 (Galaxy S6), SM-N9005 build N9005XXUGBOK6 (Galaxy Note 3), GT-I9192 build I9192XXUBNB1 (Galaxy S4 mini), GT-I9195 build I9195XXUCOL1 (Galaxy S4 mini LTE), and GT-I9505 build I9505XXUHOJ2 (Galaxy S4) devices have unintended availability of the modem in USB configuration number 2 within the secure lockscreen state, allowing an attacker to make phone calls, send text messages, or issue commands, aka SVE-2016-5301.
MediaWiki before 1.23.15, 1.26.x before 1.26.4, and 1.27.x before 1.27.1 allows remote authenticated users with undelete permissions to bypass intended suppressrevision and deleterevision restrictions and remove the revision deletion status of arbitrary file revisions by using Special:Undelete.
IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Operations Center could allow an authenticated attacker to enable or disable the application's REST API, which may let the attacker violate security policy.
Samsung KNOX 1.0.0 uses the shared certificate on Android, which allows local users to conduct man-in-the-middle attacks as demonstrated by installing a certificate and running a VPN service.
IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center could allow an authenticated user with intimate knowledge of the system to edit a limited set of properties on the server.
unixsocket.c in lxterminal through 0.3.0 insecurely uses /tmp for a socket file, allowing a local user to cause a denial of service (preventing terminal launch), or possibly have other impact (bypassing terminal access control).
Vulnerability in the Solaris Cluster component of Oracle Sun Systems Products Suite (subcomponent: NAS device addition). The supported version that is affected is 4.3. Easily "exploitable" vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Solaris Cluster executes to compromise Solaris Cluster. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of Solaris Cluster accessible data. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 3.3 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N).
sudo_noexec.so in Sudo before 1.8.15 on Linux might allow local users to bypass intended noexec command restrictions via an application that calls the (1) system or (2) popen function.
In OpenSSL 1.1.0 before 1.1.0c, TLS connections using *-CHACHA20-POLY1305 ciphersuites are susceptible to a DoS attack by corrupting larger payloads. This can result in an OpenSSL crash. This issue is not considered to be exploitable beyond a DoS.
The ntpq protocol in NTP before 4.2.8p7 allows remote attackers to conduct replay attacks by sniffing the network.
In F5 BIG-IP systems 12.1.0 - 12.1.2, malicious requests made to virtual servers with an HTTP profile can cause the TMM to restart. The issue is exposed with BIG-IP APM profiles, regardless of settings. The issue is also exposed with the non-default "Normalize URI" configuration options used in iRules and/or BIG-IP LTM policies. An attacker may be able to disrupt traffic or cause the BIG-IP system to fail over to another device in the device group.
A vulnerability was discovered in Siemens XHQ server 4 and 5 (4 before V4.7.1.3 and 5 before V5.0.0.2) that could allow an authenticated low-privileged remote user to gain read access to data in the XHQ solution exceeding his configured permission level.
ntpq in NTP before 4.2.8p7 allows remote attackers to obtain origin timestamps and then impersonate peers via unspecified vectors.
An elevation of privilege vulnerability in the Synaptics touchscreen driver could enable a local malicious application to execute arbitrary code within the context of the kernel. This issue is rated as High because it first requires compromising a privileged process. Product: Android. Versions: Kernel-3.10. Android ID: A-31911920.
