CVSS v3.1 |
Mahara 15.04 before 15.04.7 and 15.10 before 15.10.3 are vulnerable to prevent session IDs from being regenerated on login or logout. This makes users of the site more vulnerable to session fixation attacks.
IBM Security Guardium 10.0 does not renew a session variable after a successful authentication which could lead to session fixation/hijacking vulnerability. This could force a user to utilize a cookie that may be known to an attacker. IBM X-Force ID: 124745.
ubuntu-image 1.0 before 2017-07-07, when invoked as non-root, creates files in the resulting image with the uid of the invoking user. When the resulting image is booted, a local attacker with the same uid as the image creator has unintended access to cloud-init and snapd directories.
Vulnerability in the Java SE, Java SE Embedded, JRockit component of Oracle Java SE (subcomponent: JCE). Supported versions that are affected are Java SE: 7u141 and 8u131; Java SE Embedded: 8u131; JRockit: R28.3.14. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE, Java SE Embedded, JRockit. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Java SE, Java SE Embedded, JRockit accessible data. Note: This vulnerability can be exploited through sandboxed Java Web Start applications and sandboxed Java applets. It can also be exploited by supplying data to APIs in the specified Component without using sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, such as through a web service. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 7.5 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N).
/bin/login.php in the Web Panel on the Airtame HDMI dongle with firmware before 3.0 allows an attacker to set his own session id via a "Cookie: PHPSESSID=" header. This can be used to achieve persistent access to the admin panel even after an admin password change.
Honeywell NVR devices allow remote attackers to create a user account in the admin group by leveraging access to a guest account to obtain a session ID, and then sending that session ID in a userManager.addUser request to the /RPC2 URI. The attacker can login to the device with that new user account to fully control the device.
FreeIPA 4.x with API version 2.213 allows a remote authenticated users to bypass intended account-locking restrictions via an unlock action with an old session ID (for the same user account) that had been created for an earlier session. NOTE: Vendor states that issue does not exist in product and does not recognize this report as a valid security concern
Apache CXF's STSClient before 3.1.11 and 3.0.13 uses a flawed way of caching tokens that are associated with delegation tokens, which means that an attacker could craft a token which would return an identifer corresponding to a cached token for another user.
In Sophos Web Appliance (SWA) before 4.3.1.2, Session Fixation could occur, aka NSWA-1310.
Incorrect error handling in the set_mempolicy and mbind compat syscalls in mm/mempolicy.c in the Linux kernel through 4.10.9 allows local users to obtain sensitive information from uninitialized stack data by triggering failure of a certain bitmap operation.
The cp2112_gpio_direction_input function in drivers/hid/hid-cp2112.c in the Linux kernel 4.9.x before 4.9.9 does not have the expected EIO error status for a zero-length report, which allows local users to have an unspecified impact via unknown vectors.
An issue was discovered in Xen through 4.9.x allowing guest OS users to cause a denial of service (host OS crash) or gain host OS privileges by leveraging incorrect error handling for reference counting in shadow mode.
ImageMagick allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via vectors related to error handling in sun files.
Vulnerability in the Java SE, Java SE Embedded, JRockit component of Oracle Java SE (subcomponent: JCE). Supported versions that are affected are Java SE: 6u151, 7u141 and 8u131; Java SE Embedded: 8u131; JRockit: R28.3.14. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE, Java SE Embedded, JRockit. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 5.9 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N).
Revive Adserver before 3.2.3 suffers from session fixation, by allowing arbitrary session identifiers to be forced and, at the same time, by not invalidating the existing session upon a successful authentication. Under some circumstances, that could have been an opportunity for an attacker to steal an authenticated session.
The secureCompare method in lib/SimpleSAML/Utils/Crypto.php in SimpleSAMLphp 1.14.13 and earlier, when used with PHP before 5.6, allows attackers to conduct session fixation attacks or possibly bypass authentication by leveraging missing character conversions before an XOR operation.
REST client for Ruby (aka rest-client) before 1.8.0 allows remote attackers to conduct session fixation attacks or obtain sensitive cookie information by leveraging passage of cookies set in a response to a redirect.
An issue was discovered in Cloud Foundry Foundation Cloud Foundry release v252 and earlier versions, UAA stand-alone release v2.0.0 - v2.7.4.12 & v3.0.0 - v3.11.0, and UAA bosh release v26 & earlier versions. UAA is vulnerable to session fixation when configured to authenticate against external SAML or OpenID Connect based identity providers.
A bug in the error handling of the send file code for the NIO HTTP connector in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M13, 8.5.0 to 8.5.8, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.39, 7.0.0 to 7.0.73 and 6.0.16 to 6.0.48 resulted in the current Processor object being added to the Processor cache multiple times. This in turn meant that the same Processor could be used for concurrent requests. Sharing a Processor can result in information leakage between requests including, not not limited to, session ID and the response body. The bug was first noticed in 8.5.x onwards where it appears the refactoring of the Connector code for 8.5.x onwards made it more likely that the bug was observed. Initially it was thought that the 8.5.x refactoring introduced the bug but further investigation has shown that the bug is present in all currently supported Tomcat versions.
IBM Financial Transaction Manager 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 does not properly update the SESSIONID with each request, which could allow a user to obtain the ID in further attacks against the system. IBM X-Force ID: 122293.
